HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS
The following awards within this category are for graduating seniors who have been accepted into an
accredited institution of higher education. The institution must be approved by the US Department of
Education.
Δ Providence in Memoriam Award - $1000
This award was established in honor of deceased members of the Providence Alumnae Chapter. It is
available to any African-American Female who is a senior, graduating from a high school within the state of Rhode Island.
Δ General Award - $1000
This award is available to an African-American Male or African-American Female who is a senior, graduating from a high school within the state of Rhode Island.
COLLEGE AWARD
This award is for an undergraduate student currently attending an accredited college or university who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may attend a college or university from outside the State of Rhode Island, however, their permanent/primary residence must be within the State of Rhode Island.
Δ Scholastic Achievement Award - $1000
This award is available to an African-American Female. Preference is given to former award recipients of Providence Alumnae Chapter.
